Planning

Yesterday I was on Skype with Germany's finest, Mr. LX aka FlashBeats, planning a lot of details for "Hometown Hero". So we are getting closer and closer, my friends...

I am going into the studio with my dude Peter Krafft as soon as he gets back from Spain in a couple of weeks. Our goal that weekend is to finish as much as possible, with the main focus being the upcoming singles.

So please stay tuned and get ready. Everything will make sense in a couple of weeks. We are working hard behind the curtains... /J

2012!

Whattuuup! Happy new year everyone! I know I haven't exactly been updating this site daily, but I just wanted to stop by and let you guys know that I'm still working hard. My new mixtape "Hometown Hero" is almost done and I can't wait to share it with you. This is something special, trust me.

We are currently trying to pick the next song to release, and we will hit the studio to make the finishing touches on the song we pick in a couple of weeks. After that it's just mixing for a day or two, then we're ready to drop the new song.

Stay tuned and have a great evening.

A little update

Whattup folks, it's been to months since we dropped the first single "Lionheart" and the response has been overwhelming. So many people have supported, shared, spread and helped out with the song. I am so grateful and really hope that all of you will follow me on this journey. Here's a quick update on where I'm at right now...

I am currently finishing my new mixtape "Hometown Hero", which I will release as soon as it's finished. Before I drop that son of a beast off I have a couple of songs I want to shed some extra light on (read: singles) and the second single off the mixtape will be released within three weeks. We have a TON of great material, we just have a little trouble picking in what order we should let them go. Anyways, stay tuned. This is all up to me now - no label, no producers, no managers, no agents or whatever. This is up to me, and I will NOT let you down. Peace.

Jimmy

NEW MUSIC: JaeWon – Lionheart (feat. Peter Krafft)

JaeWon (born Jimmy Skoog) coming out of Norrtalje, Sweden, made his debut in 2008 with his EP “Some Kind Of Hero”. The five songs on the EP, especially the rock influenced title track, received a lot of positive attention online and all proved that JaeWon didn’t have any plans on caring about the rules usually followed in hiphop music. After writing and recording a full length album that unfortunately didn’t get to see the light of day for the same label that released “Some Kind Of Hero”, JaeWon decided to take matter into his own hands and continue the personal and artistic development he had already started.

For the past year and a half, JaeWon and singer/songwriter Peter Krafft (most known as lead singer of the band Royal Modesty) have been crafting a unique sound where sharp and confident rap is being daringly mixed with playful and creative melodies. All of this accompanied by grand productions by several known and unknown producers, creating an adventurous soundscape similar to no other. The lyrics reflect all sides of JaeWon’s journey – from the dreaming boy who in a Swedish smalltown did everything to break the mold and walk his own path – to the focused, hard-working young man he is today.

Enter “Hometown Hero” – a street album where JaeWon puts it all out there to prove that he is a force to be reckoned with and that he won’t let anything, or anyone, come between him and his dream. The concept behind “Hometown Hero” is heavily inspired by the world of superheroes, a place where JaeWon has found a motivation and a calm that he couldn’t find in the real world.

The first single from “Hometown Hero” is “Lionheart”, an energy-filled song showing the listener that JaeWon is ready for his shot at his dream, and that this is just the beginning…
